Bus Stop Mural

Later this week I'm going to be doing my first mural project at the new "Bus Stop" bar that is relocating to a new space at Olive and Denny in the wake of the demolition of the 500 block of Pine.

This is the final sketch of mural.  Now I need to print it, cut it, and spray it.

Obama Victory Rally Stencils/ Sweet 100 Show

I snapped a number of photos election night at the big victory rally at Broadway and Pike. Aside from documenting one of the greatest nights of my life,  I'm excited about these because they are my first attempt at creating stencils from the flash/long exposure shots I've been taking.

The stencils will be part of a group show at Suite 100 at 2222 2nd Ave in Belltown.  The opening reception is this Friday, 6-10... the same time as the opening reception for my Form/Space exhibit.

Spire Install, part 1

I was at Form/Space last night installing panels until 1am.  Here's what the show is looking like so far.  I still need to construct the actual spire/tower things.  Which also means I need to figure out what exactly I'm trying to make.  

I now have four days until the show and six days until I get on a plane for Paris and forget about this city for two weeks.

As is typical, I had intended to update my Form/Space installation project daily and instead it's been two weeks since I put up the last post.  Anyways, here's a quick overview of the work so far.

At this point I just have the final large panels to finish and I just need to get ready for installing the show over the weekend and early next week.  The reception at Form/Space is November 14th, so I have just nine days left.
